iPhone app store getting ready
Just received an email from Apple notifying me that the iPhone app store is now accepting submissions.
In my opinion, the iPhone App store might be the best achievement of Apple since they arrived in the Mobile world. Of course they are making great devices and a great OS but it seems that the life of handset manufacturer is not that easy. But they have with the iPhone App store a great tool to increase their ARPU. First of all iTunes is a great achievement for selling digital contents, it’s a one-stop-shop with one-click buy features and a really fluid experience. Second, it really makes it easy to find and buy content in a user-friendly way, as opposed to the operator’s mobile portals who are most of the time a challenge for the average user. Finally the quality of the apps is promising as they leverage on a specially skilled OSX/Cocoa community.
If Apple might be loosing revenue from the device itself after their recent business model switch, I’m pretty sure they will be able to compensate that loss with the app store. If I were a mobiel developer, I would definitely focus on the iPhone as it’s probably today the best way to monetize apps on a worldwide basis.

Slow blogging those days - VR-WEAR

Seems like my blogging is a bit slow those days, and it’s not the fact that there is less importent stuff to cover - far from it.
Some of you might have noticed I’m starting up a new venture called VR-WEAR. Apart form being a cool name with a great logo, there is not much I can yet disclose here apart the fact that it has to do with two of my preferred themes : virtual reality and gaming. Together with a team of dedicated and passionate designer, marketing ppl and engineers I think we have some incredible potential in this breathtaking gaming industry. Can’t wait to share with you my next steps ![]()

Lola watch the stars
I’m pitching a lot lately about the “Virtual Reality HeadSet” thing - It’s really awesome to see how everyone from the totally non-nerd fashionista girl to the exxtreme geek are used to this idea. Movies from 80s (Tron, Lawnmover Man..), books, have really instillate this concept into the masses and although no-one has experienced it they recognize it…

Kodak Quick Touch Border
This new Kodak photoframe retailed 219€ is really reminding me of the UI experience we developed at WaveStorm for the Ki’i Frame. This “Quick Touch Border” is definetly the best way to bring interaction to a photoframe ![]()
