Wii Fit
I went through the Fnac today and couldn’t step out without buying a Wii Fit. Awesome device and game - first good news seems like i’m still fit
(pfew and I though I was getting really fat though :/).
By the way I don’t know if you guys realized that but Nintendo just taught us casual gamers that to one games fits one accessory : a balance board for fitness, a dance mat for ddr, a wheel for mario kart, a saber for dunno what, a gun soon… pretty interesting to see that it’s not troublesome for the masses at all.
VFX1 - HeadGear
Back from a few days off in Ile de Ré, and to make it easier to get back to work, I made it a gadget tuesday ;). Today’s gadget is a piece of history : the VFX1 Headgear - the very first consumer Head up Display. released in 1995, I used to dream about this piece for years without being ever able to afford it - a few thousand francs at that time (way over my student budget). Got this one for 60€ on ebay and I really can feel the history in this piece. It comes with a dedicated ISA video card to drive the beast and putting it in your head really is immersive. The fantastic speakers just cut out every outside noise letting you enjoy the awesome view of a 3d world in “Descent” (spaceship doom-like). Memories…. One bad point though, the googles don’t get adjusted easily and kinda hurt around the eyes :/
BagelBurger on the terrace - yummy!
