Testing TomTom Go

Got a Tomtom Go to play with it and it’s a first as I’m stuck to my beautifully integrated yet totally closed and not expandable stupid BMW GPS. First impressions: the device itself rox, really easy to install (all the files are on the mass storage accessible when you plug the device, slick design… Funny enough, I had the confirmation of what I recently heard, TomTom uses user generated content to update its maps .. and I heards that 9 hours of this content is enough to update their whole database … now that you know that, think about Navteq valuation ;)

    9 hours to build a Map…. that’s a news !!!!
    I wonder what would be the quality of that map ;-)
