The Next Web Party

A few comments about the next web : the speakers were very good, most of them adopted keynote-style slides and a very punchy style which made the presentations really good, and most of the attendees actually were in the theatre watching the presentations, which was pretty unusual ! And indeed this event was weak from on a networking point of view, many people just “curious” and not involved directly in the business, few VCs and press, at least compared to the latest conference I attended (Innovate Europe).
But at least I had an award and a few previously arranged meetings that made it worth it, along with Jeff’s presence with is always a rare pleasure ! And by the way, the 65â?¬ diner was a rip-off, ordinary food, no desert … I went to the nearby McDonald’s at the end of the party ! On and by the way, this award thing was really a big joke
