Ubiquiti Powerstation
Ubiquiti has been well-known for a while for providing high-power (400mW) WiFi cards.
Remember, in many countries this is not legal, in France it’s limited to 100mW.
Remember 2 : using directional antenna is legal (think Fon and Fontennas) as the emitted power remain the same and is just more focused in one direction.
Anyway, thay just released the PowerStation (spec) : a powerful 400 mW radio with a built-in 18dBi antenna and running OpenWRT.
The device look awesome, slim and sexy.
Devices are available at 160USD/unit.
By the way I’m amazed by the OpenWRT project. I saw it start a few years ago and now it’s become better than most commercial OSes.
