Adobe adds Actimagine engine

Actimagine is a French company I know pretty well as when it was still at its early stage we were neighbors at Télécom Paris’ incubator. I’m happy to see that André’s company is doing well, he just announced that Adobe has integrated Actimagines’ optimized video codec to its Flash Lite product line.

â??Adobe is committed to providing the technologies needed by operators worldwide to develop, deliver, and display engaging mobile experiences on a broad set of mobile devices,â? said Al Ramadan, senior vice president, Mobile and Device Solutions Business Unit at Adobe. â??With the acquisition of Actimagine’s vector graphics technology, we will be able to further enhance the most popular, high-volume mobile and consumer devices as well as broaden our reach into emerging markets.â?
