Comments on: Tricastmedia stop fooling & buzzing around – this is outrageous

Hello!
I would like to evaluate the TWUIK for use in a small project sales distributed. However, I already did three requests in TricastMedia site, have already sent several emails to support without receiving any answer and I can not download the trial version. What might be happening?

Eu gostaria muito de avaliar o TWUIK, para utilização em um pequeno projeto de vendas distribuídas. Porém, eu já fiz 3 pedidos no site da TricastMedia, já enviei vários emails ao suporte sem receber nenhuma resposta e não consigo baixar a versão trial. O que pode estar acontecendo?

I have been tracking some widget-like technologies for mobile, and tricastmedia’s is one of the interesting one I have seen so far. Something I have noticed is that Li Mika(the blogger) seems to have very close relationship with Tricastmedia(the company) and he always(and the only blogger) have access to their closed prototypes/demo. I am not sure if this is some PR strategy via blogging, it would be certainly great if Li Mika can tell/clarify us more about that. In another thought, making claims and showing screenshots are pretty lame to sell technologies in the web 2.0 age.

Talking about professionalism. For you to label others a hoax with no valid ground and calling me an “unknown guy of theirs” was despicable, irresponsible and unprofessional to say the least.

I simply do not admit any public misuse or misinterpretation of what I write.
Both your attitude and Tricastmedia is not professionnal. I don’t have any time to loose with people only interested in increasing their google pagerank and buzzing on a product by using blogger’s opinion and then turning it your own way

Dear Alexander, the internet is a small world. Be nice.

You started the flame here by labeling them as “hoax”, telling them to “stop fool around”, and calling them a “disgrace”, just because they wrote only on their blog the one sentence “Anyway, Alexander, thanks for giving a positive review”, in which part has they buzzed or hyped up their product? I watched your video many times and read your own blog posting on TWUIK review and you indeed did say it was “impressive”… so they walked away thinking that you have a rather positive comment… and next, you started accusing them as “hoax” (by your tag), and starting to build a hill out of a mole, etc, this is despite them already explained to you before arranging the demo for you that the SDK would not be available for evaluation for now.

And saying that they used your email content without asking you for permission, they wouldn’t have done that if not because of your accusation here, they are a legitimate business and they have existing customers, i see no wrong in them defending their reputation just because some blogger thinks that they can use the blogosphere to spread ills about companies and not exercise responsibity…

And I said this to Tricastmedia…

“Let me tell you, Tricastmedia, don’t give out demo from now on… You have no obligation to “entertain” everyone. And you have EVERY RIGHT to protect your commercial and product secrets. You are not running a charity neither are you an open source outfit. Being nice doesn’t pay…”

Calling yourself a veteran in the mobile industry, i find your posting rather amusing… and childish… A big fuss over a trifle…

Alexander,

We had responded to your posting on our blog (http://www.tricastmedia.com/blog/?p=178). We apologise for using your name in the title, and on hindsight should have asked you for permission.

Having said that, we did not say anything much about your review, we just merely said that you did a review and said some positive things, that we gathered from watching your videos and your blog post and most importantly, you also replied an email to us telling us that you are most impressed.

We are not able to release the SDK evaluation as yet due to some prior commercial agreement with some customer which only allows us to publish a free evaluation copy end of Q4. We hope you understand this is a commercial arrangement and not something we deliberately put in place to make things difficult for you.

Having said that, we apologise for using your name in our blog titled “Alexander Casassovici review on TWUIK”. On hindsight, we should have used a different title, or at least seek your permission.
