La Poste, the French national snail mail service now uses SMS through Ocito, a French SMS broker, to enable users to track their letters & packet deliveries easily. Just enter the 13-digit tracking number to 62080 (0.35 €) and you’ll get step by step status updates on the delivery of your letter. This is a very interesting initiative from La Poste that proves that despite its age it still can adapt to new age communication techniques !
