Cutting audio wires

with one comment

Oono Transmita 2.4G Wireless Audio Transmitter is the easiest way possible for removing the wire between your PC and your home audio system. It’s using one 2.4GHz emitter & 1 receptor, and no, it’s not wifi nor bluetooth ! I guess removing wires is really trendy and solutions can now really enable
you to do it easily !

Skype has been cracked !

with one comment

I just leave a few days in China and when I’m back Skype is cracked by a Chinese compani called Vozin Communication… China is going too fast ! It’s not a verified information… but that might be true ! Anyway check the explication of the Skype Supernode Technology :

SKYPE’s SUPERNODE Technology

“Without being too technical, each Skype client is always connected to a SuperNode (any Skype client can become a SuperNode, the SuperNode is acting as a hub). SuperNodes are always on routable open IP addresses. When a call is set up the established TCP connection with the SuperNode is used to signal that a call is coming. Dependent on the firewall status of the client the data stream is set up either as UDP (if firewall allows) or in worse case as outgoing TCP which is almost always allowed. If both clients
are only allowed to do outgoing TCP calls are routed through another peer.”

In other words you get to know there is a call for you and you make the outgoing connection to a known supernode to meet the call…

Source: The REGISTER

Skype has sent this statement, “Skype is aware of the claim made by a small group of Chinese engineers that they have reverse engineered Skype software. We have no evidence to suggest that this is true. Even if it was possible to do this, the software code would lack the feature set and reliability of Skype which is enjoyed by over 100m users today. Moreover, no amount of reverse engineering would threaten Skype’s cryptographic security or integrity.”

SMS & Snail Mail

without comments

footerhome_pLa Poste, the French national snail mail service now uses SMS through Ocito, a French SMS broker, to enable users to track their letters & packet deliveries easily. Just enter the 13-digit tracking number to 62080 (0.35 €) and you’ll get step by step status updates on the delivery of your letter. This is a very interesting initiative from La Poste that proves that despite its age it still can adapt to new age communication techniques !

Two great days in Beijing

without comments

Photo673Beijing is an incredible city, and the Chinese really are great people, they can be as warm and welcoming as Latin people !
Yesterday we enjoyed a fantastic meal of roasted duck and made lots of “Gambe” with the Chinese representative of the youth federation (great guy !) .

Photo670Before we had a party at the French ambassy, the ambassador has a Zao Wou Ki painting in his living room… I’m so jealous ! Check it out !

Today we enjoyed a meeting with 100 Chinese entrepreneurs and had some highly interesting meetings

I made lots of videos, but I will post them only when I am back… firewalls and low data connectivity are still a pain unfortunately :-(

Those two first days were really a success !
Some more pictures in my Flickr Set.
